Barnett Salon Suites is in memory of Acacia Barnett's late grandfather, Clayton Barnett, and our logo is in his signature. Acacia's grandfather believed in her so much, and he was always there to encourage her when she wanted to give up. Even when her gramps was in the hospital with cancer he knew what to say to her to make her feel like everything was ok. Acacia spent the last three months of his life by his side in the hospital. His strength was amazing and he made it very clear that Barnett’s do not give up. His fight till the end gave Acacia the strength to carry on after he passed. Her gramps believed in her more than she believed in herself. His support in her education and dreams is what made her open her own business. She had talked to him about opening a business before he died and he always encouraged her to do it, but she didn’t because she was afraid. She was afraid she wasn’t good enough and that she would never make it. After he died she didn’t have anything else to fear, her biggest fear had happened. She was motivated to chase her dreams, Acacia was going to make him proud. While in the hospital she promised her gramps that she would take care of her granny. That responsibility made her grind hard. All of this success, courage, ambition, and drive came from her grandfather, even though he is not here today he is still molding her and shaping her. He is still encouraging her from far away. Acacia wanted to build something that would mark his legacy as a wonderful God fearing man who was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. Four years after Acacia started her business her granny passed away. She is grateful that her granny got to see her hard work and the legacy she started in her grandfathers name. She now dedicates Barnett Salon Suites to both Hattie & Clayton Barnett.
